Danglo - Don't You (feat. Ivan Franco & Tokyo Lopez)
Song of the Day : Danglo - Don’t You
The UK’s electro-dance scene seems to be going through somewhat of a renaissance at the moment with the likes of AlunaGeorge and Disclosure’s commercial breakthrough and Rudimental’s succsessful debut album of genre-hopping, chart-friendly singles. It therefore wouldn’t be a stretch to suggest on first listen that Danglo’s hook-laden single "Don’t You" rides the coat tails of a sound that encapsulates the aura of electronic music that has been defining the sound of the dancefloor this year.
It’s a more toned down affair than say the hyperactive two-step soundscapes of Disclosure; instead Ivan Franco and Tokyo Lopez bring a soothing ensemble of lush harmonies that bring a laid back feel to a jam you can still step to. While the track settles into it’s groove without ever changing gear or reaching a climax, there’s enough of a catchy single here to get your head bobbing.

Now this is THAT summer vibe. In the 50 times I’ve listened to this the past week, I’ve been straight up groovin’ to it every time. It’s one of those tunes that catches you the second time. When that harmony comes in for the chorus?! Funky, smooth, deep house.
Don’t you wanna know what your choice is? Don’t you wanna see how good your voice is?
